Refund Policy

1.Scope

SEO Cockpit is a subscription-based software-as-a-service product by SimpleWebDesign. This policy applies to all paid SEO Cockpit subscriptions and supplements the terms of service.

2.Free trial

• Each organization can try SEO Cockpit free of charge once for 7 days.
• No payment method is required for the trial.
• No costs are incurred during the trial. If no payment method has been added by its end, the trial ends automatically.

If you add a payment method during the trial, you are first charged when the trial ends.

3.Subscriptions and renewal

• Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly, depending on the billing period you choose.
• Ordering, payment processing and invoicing are handled by Paddle.com as the seller (merchant of record).
• Subscriptions renew for the chosen billing period unless they are canceled before the end of the current period.

The price depends on the number of active websites. As described in the terms of service, changes to that number are calculated pro rata and settled with the next invoice; such adjustments are not refunds within the meaning of this policy.

4.Cancellation

• You can cancel your subscription at any time: owners and admins of the organization can do so via “Manage subscription” in the subscription settings, which opens Paddle's customer portal.
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period already paid for.
• You keep access to SEO Cockpit until then.

5.Refunds

As a rule, billing periods that have already started or been fully billed are not refunded on a pro rata basis.

Refunds are granted in particular in the case of:

• duplicate charges,
• demonstrable technical billing errors,
• charges that are clearly incorrect,
• cases in which mandatory law provides for a refund.

Beyond that, refunds may be granted as a goodwill gesture in individual cases. A voluntary goodwill refund does not establish any entitlement in future cases.

6.Consumer rights

This policy does not affect the statutory rights of consumers. Where mandatory rights of withdrawal, rescission or refund apply, they take precedence over this policy. Nothing in this policy restricts these rights.

7.Payment processing by Paddle

Paddle.com is the merchant of record for SEO Cockpit and handles payments, invoices, taxes and, where applicable, refunds. Refunds may be processed through Paddle.

This policy supplements Paddle's buyer terms where they apply.
